The main aim of SYCAM Ministry through “Carmel Christian Primary School” is to provide Free Education to the underprivileged children from very poor background where their parents are really not afford
education for their kids. There is a high demand for such a qualitative, charity minded, Christian School to serve the deserving children in and around this area. We have well educated, trained teachers and staff. Now, we are in a great need to expand this school from the Primary Level to the High School Level with some Vocational Centres for the benefit of these poor children to give them a good and confident future. For this purpose, as per Government norms, we need to buy more space and build more buildings. But we do lack funds to buy more space. We request you to pray for this urgent need and SYCAM highly appreciates any possible helps towards this cause. It is also a great pleasure to associate our kids from SYCAM CHILDREN HOME into this school to provide them Free Education. All these lovely kids in our Home are very poor, neglected and needy orphans and children with single parents, and children from very poor areas and from broken families. SYCAM shelters them and takes care of all their Physical, Medical, Social, Spiritual, Emotional and Educational needs. Also SYCAM has a CHILDREN CARE CENTRE in which about a hundred poor children are given free tutoring for all the subjects they study and good snacks are provided to them every evening from 5 to 7, six days a week, They are given spiritual, physical and educational care. Please pray for all these kids and help them continue their smile on their faces.

MINISTRY TO THE PHYSICALLY IMPARED

Pastor Milton and Annie of SYCAM Ministries, Chennai, India are also serving among the Lepers. Leprosy is a terrible disease and it is a living death on the person who has it. These lepers are very poor, needy and are out-castes of the society. They go for begging
to have their livelihood as they cannot do any work and the society also do not accept them. Hence SYCAM goes to them to their colonies where they live and give them the Gospel of Love and Comfort of Christ along with Food Stuffs like Rice bags, lintels, food
packets and Biscuit packets, Bed-sheets and Blankets, Medicines and special Micro Cellular Rubber Shoes for their ulcerated feet. They feel so thankful, happy and comforted whenever we visit them. Many of them have yielded themselves to God and are born again. They sing happily and adhere to God's Word. We visit them as often as we could according to the provision of funds. Please remember these lepers in your prayers and extend your generous heart to help them.

MINISTRY TO THE GYPSIES:                                           Photos

SYCAM Ministry is extended to the GYPSIES, who are considered to be a nomadic tribe and are out-casts of the society. There are different tribes among them and they have their own traditions and practices. But nowadays, after hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ many of them have left their crude practices and have started to adopt the customs of the civilised people. Yet they are not recognised by the society. They do not have proper homes to shelter. They live in temporary sheds and huts. But often their temporary shelters are destroyed by the natural calamities like rain, wind and flood. They hunt birds and small animals for their food. SYCAM meets them in their poor colony on a river bank, far out side the city, and provides them food stuffs like Rice bags, lintels, Food Packets, Biscuit Packets, and Bed sheets, blankets and clothes. Now they are very badly in need of proper permanent shelters. SYCAM has a plan to build some 50 good houses to dwell in. Can you please come forward to help them in this acute need? The Lord will reward you bountifully when you extend your helping hand towards these deserving Gypsies.


MINISTRY TO THE VISUALLY IMPARED PEOPLE:           Photos

There are many thousands of Blind people in and around the city of Chennai, India. Few of them are literates and many of them have no much education. Most of them live in very poor condition. They beg on the platforms, Bus and Railway stations. Some of them do some petty businesses. SYCAM has registered more than 150 of such blind people and they gather in our church once in every two months. Pastor Milton and Annie of SYCAM serve them with the Gospel of Christ and provide them physical, material and financial helps. SYCAM also provides them finance for doing petty businesses. They are so happy to be blessed by the ministry of SYCAM. Kindly pray for them and help them in their need.

Poor people and children living in slum areas are not affording to spend on medical treatment. Many of them are ignorant of some serious diseases like leprosy, HIV Aids, Bronchitis, Tuberculosis and serious heart and Lung diseases. Even if they come to know, they just throw their lot on "fate", due to their illiteracy. Especially poor young children suffer great health hazards due to unhygienic surroundings. To such poor people SYCAM offers free medical camps with a team of highly qualified doctors often drive a great awareness and guide them towards proper check up and treatment. There is always a good response from the poor people in such free medical camps.

Apart from our mission and vision to different charitable services we also do church ministries and village Gospel outreach ministries. Most of our church members are from Hindu background. They have accepted Jesus as their personal savior and are growing strong in the word of God. Please pray that more souls should be saved for the extension of the kingdom of God. Our main church is now in the shifting process to a new place as the old place did not have parking facilities and other conveniences. So please pray that the Lord should provide us a new church with all facilities.
